SAFE AWAY PROTECTION

It is a travel health plan for people travelling to Madeira Island that aims to guarantee easy access to a team of health service professionals in general medicine, nursing and physiotherapy.

The services are provided to the Subscriber in the room of the hotel or Local Accommodation establishment, available for 24 hours a day, every day of the week (24h/7).

OUR SERVICES

Medical consultations – general medical consultations provided in the hotel room or local accommodation establishment.

Nursing consultations – nursing consultations provided in the hotel room or local accommodation establishment. Only services for which the technical and safety conditions are met are provided.

Physiotherapy sessions – Physiotherapy sessions provided in the hotel room or local accommodation establishment. Only services for which the technical and safety conditions are met are provided.

Specialised accompaniment services – You can also hire a specialised accompaniment service during your stay on Madeira Island, provided that you have previously indicated the need for this at the time of subscription, which will only be awarded once it has been validated and quoted by SAFE AWAY PROTECTION and accepted by the Subscriber.

Safe Away App – By subscribing to this travel assistance health service to Madeira Island, the Subscriber will be given access to the Safe Away App for their convenience and safety.

Multilingual 24/7 Healthline – With the subscription to this travel assistance health service to Madeira Island, a multilingual telephone service will also be made available, whenever the Subscriber is unable to express themselves in Portuguese or English.

WHERE WE OPERATE

The SAFE AWAY PROTECTION travel health service is provided exclusively in the municipality of Funchal and the cities of Caniço and Câmara de Lobos on Madeira Island.

The SAFE AWAY PROTECTION travel health service is not provided in other locations on Madeira Island and whenever the service is subscribed to by a person based outside the municipality of Funchal and the cities of Caniço and Câmara de Lobos on Madeira Island, it will be considered unsubscribed.

PRICES

The subscription price for the SAFE AWAY PROTECTION service is the one indicated after filling in the form and is subject to confirmation by the subscriber.

Medical consultation: €75.00

Nursing services: €20.00

Physiotherapy services: €45.00

Specialised support services are provided on a quotation basis and are subject to prior confirmation of the availability of the service based on the Subscriber’s needs.

CONTRACTING THE SAFE AWAY PROTECTION SERVICE

Subscribing to the SAFE AWAY PROTECTION service begins with joining online by filling in the appropriate questionnaire and submitting it, after reading the subscriber’s acceptance of the terms and conditions and paying the respective price using one of the payment methods provided.

The contracting of the SAFE AWAY PROTECTION service concludes with the sending of the confirmation issued upon receipt of payment of the subscription price.

The contracting of specialised monitoring services is not automatic and is always subject to quotation and confirmation by SAFE AWAY PROTECTION.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

All information provided by the Subscriber to the SAFE AWAY PROTECTION service is subject to professional confidentiality on the part of the health technicians involved.

SAFE AWAY PROTECTION is obliged to ensure the protection of all Personal Data provided by Subscribers, and their legally established rights in this regard, and may not use it except for the exact needs of contractual performance, ceasing its use upon termination of the contract.

SAFE AWAY PROTECTION is obliged to comply with the legislation in force in Portugal and the European Union on the protection of personal data, specifically Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27/04/2016, Laws 58/2019 and 59/2019, of 8/8, in particular by undertaking to keep the Subscriber’s data up to date, to provide access to it whenever requested, and never to transfer it to third parties outside the scope of the absolute necessity for processing it.

CONSUMER DISPUTES

In the event of a dispute, the consumer may have recourse to the following alternative consumer dispute resolution body:
